11 days agoNewly diagnosed with invasive lobular brest cancer. It was discovered with my annual mammogram in October 2025. Had 2 biopsies MRI and numerous mammograms. Lumpectomy done Jan 8, 2026. Saw medical oncologist last week. Will be seeing radiologist oncology next week. Tumor sent for OncotypeDX to determine if I need chemo. Long process that does make you anxious for treatment. My cancer is Stage 2 HR+HERneg. Lymph nodes are clear. You want treatment right away and waiting is tough.

10 days agoThe waiting period between diagnosis and treatment can feel overwhelming, and these feelings are completely natural when facing such an important health journey. Many community members share that staying connected with their care team, asking questions during appointments, and finding healthy distractions like gentle exercise or creative activities can help manage the anxiety during this time. Please feel free to share how others in this community have navigated similar waiting periods - your experiences and coping strategies could be valuable for others going through the same process.

10 days agoThat's exactly right - the waiting really is one of the hardest parts, and staying connected with your care team helps so much, plus I found it helpful to write down questions between appointments so I wouldn't forget what I wanted to ask.

3 days agoI have invasive lobular Er+pr+ her2negative. The waiting for biopsy results is terrible. May need to get a mastectomy. Any advice??

a day agoLisa Marie, I had same ILC too. Get all your information first before choosing mastectomy. Some patients can have lumpectomy as research outcomes same as in mastectomy which might be able to avoid. I had a second opinion at major cancer center and only had lumpectomy! Need all your info first.
