Has anyone had an issue with their drain not working properly or an infection from them.

Drain complications can definitely happen during breast cancer treatment, and it's completely understandable to have concerns about proper function and infection risks. Many people in this community have navigated similar challenges with surgical drains and can offer valuable insights from their experiences. Consider reaching out to your medical team if you notice any signs of problems - they're the best resource for addressing drain-related issues and ensuring proper healing.

There were no issues with drains. They worked properly, and there was no infection. We all wore gloves to empty the drain and wiped the tip with alcohol as well. I was careful that the tube didn't get tangled in any way. I found that wearing a comfortable and light tank top helped with holding everything in place. I did this all day and when I went to sleep. Good luck!

Other than hating them and the small incision area bothering me, it was just ok.
