10 days agoDiagnosed 4 days ago CT scan and biopsy of the omentum. Was told ovarian cancer but haven't seen the oncologist yet. I haven't had a ovary in over 5 years.

10 days agoPrimary peritoneal cancer can develop even after ovary removal, as some cells with similar characteristics to ovarian tissue can remain in the peritoneal cavity. This type of cancer is often grouped with ovarian cancer for treatment purposes because they behave similarly and respond to comparable therapies. Meeting with the oncologist will provide much clearer answers about the specific diagnosis and treatment plan moving forward.
