48 male APL survivor. Anyone left with severe joint and nerve pain after your 8 month chemo maintenance? I got it pretty bad and can’t work anymore. Can’t do much of anything anymore without stopping to rest to relieve pressure on my joints. Then while I’m resting the nerve pain shoots through my body at any random place.

It sounds incredibly challenging to manage such persistent pain after completing treatment, and many APL survivors do experience lasting effects from chemotherapy. The combination of joint discomfort and nerve pain can significantly impact daily activities and quality of life. Consider connecting with others in this community who may have similar experiences, and discussing pain management options with your healthcare team, including oncology and potentially a pain specialist who understands post-chemotherapy effects.
