What happens when you have to pause Itovebi due to side effects?

Well, after one dose reduction, I’ve had to pause Itovebi because of side effects. We’ll wait a week and see if I can resume at the same dose, lower it one more time (the last time it can be lowered), or give up on it.

Hopefully, the side effects will resolve. Praying for you, Carol. 🙏

What side effects do you have?

Mouth sores, higher blood sugar (taking metformin and jardiance for that and the jardiance was giving me extremely dry mouth), possibly shortness of breath (but we’re not sure that was the Itovebi), some blood counts being off (potassium, calcium, etc). Stopped for two weeks. My doctor wants me to try again.

Update: I’m back on the Itovebi at the lowered dose and my PCP lowered my dose of jardiance. It’s been a week and I seem to be doing ok. My oncologist thinks some of my other symptoms were just a garden variety virus or my seasonal allergies. I’m still congested but less so (taking my antihistamines regularly), no shortness of breath, and no more mouth sores. At the hospital right now for my monthly fulvesterant injections. Have my quarterly scans Wednesday and trying not to panic 🤞.
