3 years agoI have mbc with malignant pleural effusion and pi3kca mutation. Some doctors say endocrine therapy with cdk4/6 and Fulverstrant and one said I need to start chemo. Anyone experience such and if so what was your treatment?
Accepted Answer
Treatment decisions for metastatic breast cancer with pleural effusion can vary significantly based on many individual factors, and it's completely understandable to feel uncertain when receiving different recommendations from doctors. Many community members have navigated similar treatment crossroads and may be able to share their experiences with both endocrine therapy combinations and chemotherapy approaches, which could help provide perspective as you work with your medical team to determine the best path forward.

6 months agoThank you for posting here, Vickki. I hope you hear from a fellow patient as well, but I wanted to make sure you were aware of the Ask Outcomes4Me feature available in the app. Feel free to share any treatment questions there and one of our oncology nurse practitioners will be in touch. Thank you.

6 months agoNo. I had it drained 3 times. The first 2 removed 1300 cc's and the last one was 400 cc's. Lungs are now clear on both sides, so the doc thinks it is gone.
