Many community members have faced difficult dental decisions during cancer treatment, and the financial burden can feel overwhelming. It sounds like you're dealing with multiple challenging situations at once, and it's completely understandable to feel exhausted. Consider asking your oral surgeon about payment plans or reaching out to local dental schools that might offer reduced-cost services. The community here understands the weight of facing multiple health concerns, and sharing your experiences can help others who might be in similar situations.

9 months agoI am in the process of having all my teeth pulled. They were affected by chemo. However, I cannotgo back on bone meds till this is done. I have recently discovered mets to the lung, but my doctors are encouraging. If you are near a university that supports a dental school, you might investigate being evaluated there. They are much more cost effective.

9 months agoI have already scheduled for the 19th of October with oral surgen.they all come out at same time and dentures go right in after surgery. $7,600.00 . Not sure if I will be able to afford payments but it's done.

9 months agoI've been told a dentist needs paid in advance for these procedures...& it's likely a matter of taking out a loan or applying for CareCredit...(as long as the dentist is paid upfront...payments* can be made [30 days later] to the loan company. It's probably less expensive to pay monthly for health insurance with a dental ryder...or just a dental policy. I've found there's normally a 12mo wait period- before a dental policy will cover anything more than annual exams, xrays & cleanings-( fyi for anybody looking at future dental needs).

9 months agoI'm 47 and chemo made my teeth weak. I had all my teeth removed by oral surgeon. Yes, its expensive. I wish a law would become effective that Stage 4 should no longer pay monthly bills or any associated medical needs related to diagnoses. Be strong and faith.
