Is Enhertu working for anyone with liver mets from breast cancer?

I have had MBC since July 2024. My treatments of Ibrance and Truqap both stopped working to stop the spread of cancer in my liver. I am supposed to start Enhertu soon, but I am concerned about the possible side effects. Is anyone having luck with Enhertu??

I had the same thing. Truqap quit working. I have had two Enhertu infusions and am doing great. Yes there’s fatigue but there’s 3 weeks in between and with Truqap I felt low energy and down all of the time. I get Fulvestrant shots too every 4 weeks. I heard terrible things about Enhertu but it hasn’t been as bad as what I was fearing.

That is good news. Truqap certainly did not agree with me… my overall body rash was terrible and I became pre diabetic! I definitely need a change. Thanks so much !🤗

Many community members have shared their experiences with Enhertu for liver metastases, and it's completely natural to feel concerned about starting a new treatment. Consider connecting with others here who may have similar experiences, and remember that your medical team can help address your specific concerns about side effects and what to expect.

I am afraid my new targeted therapy Truqac will raise my glucose level what can I do?

I just started my 2nd week of Truqap. My oncologist has me checking my sugar levels once a week. If my glucose get too high, she'll treat it with metformin. I'm praying this will work on my bone mets and liver lesions. My last 2 years the chemo either didn't work or side effects were too hard on me. I have the PTEN mutation and AKT genomic mutation. I pray the Truqap works and if I develop diabetes, it's okay.

I had my first infusion of Enhertu on 4/7/26; my only side effect has been constipation. I was diagnosed in August 2019 and took Ibrance and Aromasin for 4 years. When that stopped working, I had a blood test, which showed that I had the ESR1 mutation, so I was prescribed Orserdu. About a year ago, I also was put on Kisqali, but that was not shrinking the two places in my liver. I’m going to be getting Enhertu every 3 weeks until the end of June, and then I’ll have a PET scan. I pray that it works for both of us.💕🙏

Virginia how are you doing on Truqap? I get some bathroom issues a little tired but not bad. Hope it works!

Jane, I'm doing okay. My glucose has been normal. I'm very tired and sleep 9-10 hours a day. I'm getting radiation next week to take care of lesions from T6 to sacrum and my left hip which has hurt since 2015 (right before my diagnosis). The radiologist said my hip might get worse before it gets better. But, if it means I can walk to the mailbox without pain. I'm ok with it. Thank you for checking on me. ❣️

I had my 3rd treatment yesterday. So far I find the side effects to be manageable. A lot of G.I. issues and hair loss and skin problems. Other than that it’s not intolerable.

Good to hear your glucose was normal Virginia. Mine is also so far but my tumor markers are on the rise. The doc just increased my Truqaq and now I’m worried about side effects and my scans in June. Blessings on your upcoming procedure. Keep us posted.
