How do you find strength and gratitude after fighting through cancer?

Living With Gratitude! Laughing louder, smiling brighter because I earned it! I have been humbled, I have come through darkness that few people will know. I have fought through the hardest days of my life. I have persevered through battles that know one knows anything about . I have earned my stripes, my strength, my resilience, my self pride, and self respect . It doesn’t make me better than anyone else, it makes me stronger and better than the person I was! 🙏 “Don’t Let The Bad Days Win!”

What a powerful testament to resilience and the transformative nature of overcoming life's greatest challenges. The journey through cancer often reveals inner strength that many never knew existed, and finding ways to celebrate that growth while maintaining gratitude can be deeply healing. Consider sharing specific practices or moments that help cultivate this mindset - other community members may find inspiration in learning what has worked best for building that unshakeable foundation of strength and appreciation.

I refuse to let the disease win. Im apparently too stubborn to. And yes, you will find strength you didn't know you have. Even for an old army vet like me.

Darren! Right on, 👍 I don’t know if being an old former jar head has helped me, but I’ll take what I can get! 💪(semper fi) “Don’t Let The Bad Days Win!”

At the gym now. Added ten pounds to all my lifts thus week. Only shoulders are shorter on reps. Did NOT feel like going either.

Darren, exercising when you don’t feel good is so much harder, but it’s a reflection of your determination and commitment to getting better . We are all in a battle for survival and a sense of normalcy. Every inch of progress is a win! Keep up the fight brother! 💪 “Don’t Let The Bad Days Win!”

Now I'm on the DL until further notice. Tripped and hit my head on a hallway table hard enough to put a dent in the drywall. Definite concussion. No physical activity till all the symptoms pass. Messing with my gym work dammit. Another annoyance is all. Its what I consider my cancer. An annoyance to be overcome. These days won't win either. I've always hated taking an L at anything. I'll do it with grace but steam inside.
