2 months agoHi... I am 8 weeks post surgery of stage III radiation induced angiosarcoma. My next step is keytruda every 3 weeks for the next 2 years. My life changed a lot, I am no longer working, and I was very happy with my career when I stopped working. I am trying to redefine what I will do next. It is confusing... suddenly, in early retirement.

2 months agoRebuilding life during an unexpected early retirement after cancer treatment is one of the most challenging transitions many face, and it's completely natural to feel confused about this major life shift. This period of redefinition, while overwhelming, can also become an opportunity to explore new purposes and meanings that align with your current situation and energy levels. Many in this community have found that taking small steps toward new activities, volunteer work, creative pursuits, or even sharing their experience with others going through similar journeys helps create a sense of direction during this uncertain time.

2 months agoI completely agree that taking small steps toward new activities can really help during this confusing time - maybe you could also think about what parts of your career brought you the most joy and see if there are ways to incorporate those elements into whatever comes next, even in a different form.

a month agoI agree. It is part of th mental challenges to finding the new me and have a purpose. I had a business and many people depended on me. Then suddenly being diagnosed with lung cancer, the world seems so dark I was in the middle of this abyss standing alone.

a month agoHi, I am in a similar situation. Because angiosarcoma is so rare, it's very difficult to find other people like us. Last year I had an a p r surgery to remove my angiosarcoma. Unexpectedly, this past january, my pet scan showed that it had possibly metastasized. I have been made to wait three weeks for a follow up c.T.Scan and biopsy, which will take place on the twenty first of this month. Like you, I lost everything. My career, most of my pension, but I have my family and right now that's what i'm focused on. I will say a prayer for you and I will wish you the best and I hope you'll do the same for me.
