a month agoManaging pain after surgery while trying to keep your mind calm can be incredibly challenging. Consider exploring gentle relaxation techniques like deep breathing exercises, guided meditation, or listening to soothing music, which may help interrupt the cycle of racing thoughts that often comes with physical discomfort. Many find that combining these mindfulness approaches with staying connected to supportive communities like this one can provide additional comfort during recovery.

a month agoGet something stronger from the doctor surgical pain is not like regular pain and everybody's paying threshold is different I know I could not stand it I mean it was mind-blowing pain I needed the narcotic pain medication badly like every 4 hours and I still had a very hard time for the first couple of weeks after my double mastectomy I would take the pain medicine if they prescribed any and if they didn't I would call the doctor and have them prescribe you some because once the pain is managed it is so much easier to rest and that's what your body needs to heal is rest

a month agoI've had 2 radical vulvectamies, and they came in automatically with pain meds put through the iv gor at least a couple of days the scheduled orals the rest of the time. Your body has been through a major trauma. If you can't relax, it won't be able to heal properly
