a month agoIt's completely natural to feel nervous before your second round - many patients find that preparing both practically and mentally can help ease those feelings. Consider creating a comfort plan with items that helped you feel better during your first treatment, and remember that your care team is there to support you through each step. What strategies are you thinking about trying to help manage the anxiety leading up to next week?

a month agoHi verlita. My names eddie. I have gone through chemo on 5 different times. Since 2015. I started chemo as an inmate in the florida prison system. And am still doing it now as a free person. Everyone's journey has its own ups and downs. And you are the only person that can validate what you experience. Even others going through the same treatment may experience it differently. Im proud that you decided to fight for a longer life. Many people probably tryed to tell you what to do , both directions. But you choose the live. And that is something. You are stronger than you think. Pro tip #1. Its more about your thoughts and attitude than physical. Try and find the silver lining, stay as positive as possible, dont listen to negativity. And take it one moment at a time.

10 days agoWhen you go for treatment try to have someone with, a trusted family member or friend. Tell them your concerns so if you forget to tell them to your nurse they can speak up for you. They can also help to distract you with good conversation and a positive attitude. Bring with you this that will make you happy, a hobby easy to travel with (I'm a crocheted so a frequently bring a small project), may a good book that will put you in a good frame of mind, or maybe a puzzle book. If they offer massages of feet, legs, and/or hands take them up on it, trust me it helps. Also you can ask if they have chaplain available you could have one stop by. Often times you just have to ask.
