2 days agoHi, I'm going insane waiting for for pathology report, what treatment I will have. I was diagnosed IDC. My family doesn't understand what I'm going through. I had lumpectomy surgery on September 10th. Been feeling a little tired and take nap.

2 days agoDear Christa D — Here’s some verbal support! “Insane” with waiting? I know whereof you speak. Family doesn’t understand? I know whereof you speak. I can’t cure or fix anything, but I extend my verbal support, as I’m sure the legions of O4M commenters and posters do as well. I hope you can draw strength from knowing that THEY truly do understand; they’ve been through what you’re going through. Final thought: Take those naps! As many and as often as possible. There’s strength in rest and sleep and you can’t get too much of it.

2 days agoPathology results typically take 7-10 business days, though some facilities may take up to two weeks depending on the specific tests needed. The waiting period can feel overwhelming, and it's completely natural to feel anxious during this time - many people in this community have shared similar feelings about the uncertainty. Consider reaching out to the surgeon's office if it's been longer than expected, as they can often provide updates on timing or help connect you with support resources during this challenging wait.
