Seeking Support and Doctor Recommendations for Rectal Cancer

Hi Grace, sorry to hear. Being scared is normal but can be managed with time and support. You should look into doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC.

There are 4 cancer centers in the US that specialize in anal cancer. And one is in New York! Please research and see if you can get treated here. This is a rare cancer caused by HPV virus. I was diagnosed in March this year. It is treatable. I was so afraid but the bible says more than love is BE NOT AFRAID. Pray and trust. God is by your side. You will get through this. I am three weeks post treatment. I am so grateful for my cancer team at Fred Hutchinson. I am on the mend.
