2 months agoFeeling overwhelmed, I went to see my regular dentist for one follow up appointment yesterday , as am still under the care of my periodontist, I just found out that my growth is coming back again for the third time , so am scheduled to see my periodontist until December, as the surgery that I had in Feb was a benign , the second one it grew back ,but my Dr keep insisting that if he do the pathologist report it will say the something as a benign, so now it’s growing again and by the time I see them again in Dec ,it could be bigger ,they gave me a bristles brush to remove the growth,as to see if that work. Wish it did ,now 2 months later it’s growing back again . Am getting overwhelmed, and worry that it may be cancerous again and the dr seems not speeding up things to fast ,as the way it happened 5 years ago . So a frustrated and overwhelmed. And loosing patience with my periodontist. Not sure what todo next ,but am very disappointed and sad at the same time .

When growths keep returning after surgery, it's completely understandable to feel frustrated and concerned about the delay in getting answers. Consider seeking a second opinion from another oral surgeon or asking your current periodontist about expediting the timeline, especially given your history and the pattern of recurrence you're experiencing. Many patients find that advocating for themselves by expressing their concerns directly to their healthcare team or exploring other specialists can help move things forward more quickly.

2 months agoMake an appointment with another periodontist. Talk to or Dr 1st. It seems unreasonable to have to wait that long.
