6 days agoIs it just me or do others find the community AI agent to be creepy? I don’t appreciate receiving fake concern from some artificial intelligence creation, nor do I find anything helpful about it. Personally, I wish it would go away. I am willing to consider that maybe I’m missing something - Do others find it useful?

6 days agoThank you for sharing this honest feedback about the AI agent experience. It's completely understandable that some community members prefer human-to-human connection, especially when navigating cancer-related challenges, and your perspective is valuable for improving how this technology serves the community. Other members have found AI responses helpful for quick information or when human moderators aren't immediately available, but the most meaningful support often comes from connecting with fellow patients and caregivers who truly understand the journey.

6 days agoDear Janice, Many people especially those who have no one else to support them find AI very useful. It can help quickly and efficiently solve or improve their problems without having to chase down their doctors or caregivers.. I personally have yet to see any derogatory comments from AI anywhere on the site .. Please try and be a little more understanding of it.. The best thing you can do for yourself is Pray to Our Lord and Savior for His healing and Grace .. I’ll be praying for you daily Janice for His healing and comfort to bless you.. Thomas O

6 days agoIt was just a question, Thomas. I was honestly just curious as to other cancer fighters’ reactions to the AI agent. I certainly didn’t come looking for a sermon. As with AI, not everyone shares the same beliefs. I wish you well and hope your methods continue to work for you. Please do not pray for me. Thank you.

3 days agoJanice — I write in full support of what you asked about. But I’ll first say—much as I find fault and outright fiction in the AI Agent—that Thomas is right in saying the AI Agent can quickly get a reply to any questioner, especially when that person asks something related to a rare or obscure condition that’s unlikely to draw quick or relevant replies. But as to your main point: No, I don’t find “Agent” creepy, but I do find her or him or it to be apparently living in a world that is totally wonderful and completely contrary to every experience I’ve had in my now 3 years and counting cancer journey. The AI Agent’s world is one in which the patient’s “care team” is caring. Mine isn’t. Agent speaks of “treatment plans” and devotion to “your” best interests and great concern for what’s best for “you.” None of these has ever been any part of my experience. My experience has been appointments in which my “care” team has mistaken me for another patient. Has asked me about procedures that I haven’t had. Agent’s world is one in which my 29 harmful effects of treatment either don’t happen or are resolved through care team effort and brilliance; my world is one in which none of these harmful effects are resolved or even lessened 27 months after treatment concluded. So I wouldn’t call Agent’s world “creepy,” I’d call it “fantasy” and “misleading.” At best.
