That’s me but I’m stage 5 B, I’m spread to my lymph nodes and rectal against the prostate. I have been on 1,000 mg of chemo since Aug 2nd and it is tough. They said I was going to start radiation in September but they want to push it out to October sometime. for wanting the cancer to shrink prior to radiation. It’s not fun and I’m old and my cancer is aggressive. I’m saying they are all over me, because I’m in bad shape. I bet they are taking care of you and you’re going to be in good shape. Mine is extreme but yours is so curable. I would love to give you a hug and let you know you will be good. My heart is with you.

I really appreciate your support! My wife passed 6 weeks prior to my diagnosis so I have been busy with stuff and crying. I’m by myself my dogs and I miss her so much I guess that’s why I don’t really care about my cancer I will be with my wife.

My schedule has changed and not for the good. I’m supposed to be on 28 days of radiation but not. My numbers are not good. My oncologist pharmacist called me the other day to check on me and said that they are probably going another direction and couldn’t tell me anything and I understand. I have an appointment on the 17th to find out. My body doesn’t like what’s going on I have been sick 5 out of 7 days this week. Love the good days. My medication is not working my numbers are climbing so I will find out. Cancer sucks especially the aggressive stuff. I’m praying for us all. I Love this site and the way we can share, I’m alone and this is community really helps. Thank you all !

Michael, I’m so sorry to hear that you are alone in this battle with Cancer. It’s so hard, especially when your going through recovering from the loss of an important person in your life. On a practical matter, if something really bad happens to you or you die, have you made arrangements for your dogs? I work with a rescue group and it’s so hard to see dogs show up because their owner died and there’s nobody assigned to take care of them. Please consider coming up with a plan for your furry friends. A lot of treatment involves just gutting it through the really bad days. I’ve been going through treatment for over six years and a lot of the side effects have not been fun. But I’m still here and enjoy life even though there’s a lot, I can no longer do. I try to enjoy the heck out of the good days and, quite frankly, sleep through the bad ones. I hope that today is a good day for you. If possible, take your furry friends for a walk and enjoy the day. Peace be with you.

Thank you Pat H! This is the second time I have read your post and I took your advice and found a great home for my little dogs for if things go wrong. I am keeping them for now I love them so much. I start my chemotherapy Saturday the 11th and I can’t believe all the appointments they have given me. Sleeping is my best medicine for nausea and stomach pain. You are a very strong person and I appreciate and thank you for your support and advice.
