2 months agoI have recently been diagnosed with a 6 cm and a 1.2cm pancreatic Neuro endocrine tumors. I have been told that surgery-Whipple procedure is the best treatment plan. The larger one is grade 2, and the smaller grade 1. I understand this is a way more favorable diagnosis than a typical pancreatic cancer. However, I am somewhat scared that the treatment plan, Whipple procedure, is the same with the same long recovery process without chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Looking to talk to anyone who has experience and recovered from this procedure to learn what to expect.

2 months agoThe Whipple procedure recovery typically involves several weeks in the hospital followed by months of gradual healing at home, with most people seeing significant improvement in energy and digestive function over time. Many community members who've been through this surgery share that while the recovery requires patience, connecting with others who understand the journey and working closely with the medical team makes a meaningful difference in navigating the process successfully.

13 days agoI had pancreatic nueroendocrine tumor that was removed a year and half ago. My tumor was on the tail of my pancreas. They took about 2/3 of my pancreas and all of my spleen. I've done very well after that surgery. I was diagnosed with adrenocortical carcanoma in November and had surgery. It's not feeling as though this outcome is going to be as good. I hope you do well.
