Has anyone dealt with biomarker test delays without Medicare coverage?

Husband diagnosed Friday and oncology said he had to wait 14 days to get his bio marker tissue test done. However, he does not have Medicaid or Medicare. And in 2018 it made an exception for outpatient service services. Has anyone else ever dealt with this?

Navigating insurance coverage for biomarker testing can be really challenging, especially when dealing with a new diagnosis. Many community members have faced similar delays and coverage issues with these important tests. Consider reaching out to the oncology team's financial counselor or patient navigator - they often have experience helping patients find alternative funding options or Patient Assistance Programs that might help cover the testing costs while waiting for insurance approval.
