Receiving a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming and bring up many emotions and thoughts. Many community members find it helpful to take things one step at a time, starting with gathering information from their medical team about staging and treatment options when they're ready. This community is here to offer support and share experiences as you navigate this journey, and connecting with others who understand what you're going through can provide comfort during this challenging time.

Prayers to you. Where is yours located? Also diagnosed with that related to the HPV virus that they are now saying is becoming one of the common types. Had surgery last week to remove the lesion from base of tongue and removed all of my lymph nodes from my neck. Unfortunately there are still some questionable tissue left so now they want to do a round of Radiation. Good luck with your treatments.

I have stage 3 squamous cell carsonoma. Ive had it removed along with 18 lymph nodes. They rebuilt my palate using veins, nerves and a sling graft from my arm. They took a skin graph from my leg for my arm. I spent 11 days in the hospital with a trach and feeding tube. Im am greatful to all at Mass Eye and Ear in Boston, MA. I just started radiation yesterday. Im going mon thru Fri for six weeks. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you who are dealing with cancer.
