15 days agoHas anyone here had a cancerous lesion/white spot on the roof of their mouth? From what I've read, they will often do surgery yo remove the layer on the roof of your mouth, and then you have a plastic palette to wear that hooks onto your teeth. Doesn't sound fun to me! I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this type of cancer & what the complications might be. Thanks!

15 days agoMany community members have shared experiences with palatal prosthetics following oral cancer surgery, and while the adjustment period can be challenging, most find they adapt well over time with proper support from their dental team. Connecting with others who have been through similar procedures can provide valuable insights about what to expect during recovery and how to manage any initial discomfort with speech or eating.

8 days agoMine was on my tonsils. So surgery only for me. Chose not to get palette as I already had an upper denture.
