No I have had 6 rounds my last was supposed to be sep 24. I hope and pray it is.

Every 3 weeks. This will be my second pet scan

This will be my second round of chemo. My first was done in January, then I was on a once a day pill called Zejula. My body couldn't take the strong dose so they had to keep on cutting it back because of the aide effects. The Chemo I was originally on was PACLitaxal and CARBOplatin. I actually handled those pretty well. I had 6 rounds of chemo my first time, one treatment every 3 weeks. I was told that the chemo I have already done was some of the strongest you can have. I had surgery for a full Hysterectomy, plus an appendectomy cause my cancer spread. Hope this answers your questions, let me know if I missed one. 😀 Amy

Yes I’m on the carbonation. Advadtin. And taxol It’s. Alright just the side effects. I hope no more surgery

I was told they didn't think surgery was necessary for the new mass so that was a plus. Amy

Hi Amy, I had the same chemo as you but after the 6 rounds they put me on Avastin infusions every 3 weeks. Just had my 11th dose. They said 2 years on Avastin Infusions!!!I have no energy at all and other side effects. I hope you feel better soon!! Lannie

Hi Marlaine, Did your cancer spread to other areas before they caught it? Mine did so I think that’s why I’m not on the Avastin infusions. Anyway, felling pretty good today, how about you? Can I ask if you are working at all, because I just don’t have the energy. Amy

Hi Amy, Yes, I had stage 3. They did surgery, complete hysterectomy . Then chemo/ taxol/ & carbo. 6 treatments. The pet/ctscan after chemo looked good so they started me on Avastin infusions every 3 weeks ( for 2 years) just had my 11th dose. I am retired special ed teacher so haven’t worked in years. The chemo and now the Avastin makes me feel horrible all the time. I have horrible fatigue, nausea, neuropathy, pain all over ,horrible taste in my mouth all the time, brain issues, breathing problems.I force myself to do stuff around the house, but that’s as much as I do. I have a lot of other medical problems so that may be why I feel horrible this time. I hope you feel better!!! Let me know how you are doing!! Lannie❤️❤️❤️

Amy, I would ask your doctor about the Avastin,so far it’s been keeping it away. There are a couple of tests they can do to find out exactly what is good for your type of tumor( .if they still have your tumor. ) 1)Caris Life Sciences (tumor test) 2) Natera/Signatera(Blood Test) if I were you, I would just definitely ask about these two tests. Has anyone tried fasting prior and after infusions I've read interesting studies. Haven't talked to the oncologist yet though just wondered if anyone has tried.

I usually eat at the center if im hungry. They have all kinds of snacks plus salad and sandwiches. It just depends on what time I go. If its late morning I have to eat something or I start to feel nauseous.

I would suggest to all with ovarian cancer to consider clinical trial. There are alternatives now that do now use chemo or very low doses of chemo. The first one I did had fantastic results. Of course it always recures. Looking to start another clinical trial mid Sept. The side effects are far less.

Well yall I had my scan today. It’s looking good turmor is still shrinking. But I couldn’t get infusion today. White blood cells are too low. I’m sad but grateful. About the tumor
