Meeting with the surgeon is an important step in understanding treatment options and getting clarity about the path forward. I had 6 rounds of chemo to shrink my tumor and then the whipple. Then 6 more rounds of chemo. And then 6 weeks of chemo radiation. For me the whipple was not too bad. It is important to get up and walk everyday and for longer durations. He may be tired and not want to do it but I really thinks it helps tremendously. I had a Positive margin because it was too close to my vein to go beyond the tumor. My first scan was NED. My next scan is in November. I pray for more good news. I hope your husband is able to have surgery and that he comes thru it well.
