a day agoHello, my name is Maria, I'm 69 years old. I was originally diagnosed with a ductal cancer in January, but 2nd opinion from Cleveland Clinic, said I had a locally advanced pancreatic cancer with vein involvement and recommended 6 cycles of folfirinox and would then reevaluate for surgery. Symptoms started in October '25, stomach pain, extreme nausea, poor appetite/weight loss, bowel changes. My primary care physician found critically high bilirubin. Hospitalized 2 weeks early November. Placed a drain but never found cancer even after several procedures with biopsies. A surgeon did a "spy glass" procedure after discharge and finally found a cancer. I'm just finishing my 5th cycle, and have a scan ordered so surgeon can reevaluate. Side effects are manageable - cold sensitivity, cramping, dry mouth, mild neuropathy. Good news, no hair loss or thinning! Wishing/praying good results for all.
