Hello I was diagnosed with triple positive cancer. Left breast stage 2A grade 3. I had a mastectomy on left side and a lift/reduction on the right. When I was coherent they informed me that there were residual cancer cells that they took out thank God. I now have to do kadcyla for 14 treatments. Im having my 3rd tomorrow. Only thing is that I hope I can go to work afterwards 😕.. im self employed so when I dont work, I dont get paid. It sucks but my health is priority atthis time. My question is this:: have any of you post surgery have had very sad moments that you cry for no reason? That's me as of late and im thinking it's everything my body has been through coming to a head. Who knows with me.

What you're experiencing with sudden sadness and crying spells is incredibly common after cancer surgery and during treatment - your body and mind have been through significant trauma, and emotional responses like this are a normal part of the healing process. Many people in this community have shared similar experiences, so you're definitely not alone in feeling this way, and it takes tremendous strength to balance your health needs with work concerns as a self-employed person.

Many cancer survivors go through this. It’s an emotional healing process for us and it might or might not go away completely. Cancer changes us. We’re not the same person. Sending you hugs and positive thoughts.
