2 months agoHi I'm new here. A year ago I started chemo for serous carcinoma endometrial cancer stage 2c. It was a long awful agonizing year. My question is, has anyone gone through this and if so, any lingering effects? My free are so swollen that I had to buy bigger wide shoes. Anybody have suggestions?

Welcome to the community! Swollen feet can be a challenging side effect that some people experience after chemotherapy treatments. Many community members have shared similar experiences with post-treatment symptoms, and connecting with others who understand this journey can be really helpful. Consider discussing this swelling with your healthcare team, as they may have specific recommendations or treatments that could provide relief.

2 months agoHi Val, That sounds really uncomfortable and I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that. It might be something called lymphedema, which can sometimes happen after treatment if lymph nodes or drainage pathways were affected. The swelling can show up in your legs or even just your feet. Definitely mention it to your care team so they can check it out and, if needed, connect you with a lymphedema therapist who can really help. You’ve been through a lot, so I hope you find some relief soon. Keep us posted! 💛Suzanne (Community Moderator)

a month ago@Val I agree, sounds like lymphedema. Great videos out to do self massage and encourage movement, my favorite jumping in a trampoline LoL Courage, eventually it gets easier and from 'surviving' you start dreaming about 'thriving'. 25 days agoHi Val, I had chemo plus immunotherapy started November, 2024 for endometrial carcinoma stage 4. The tumor was quite large and had started to metastasize to my lungs. I experienced some foot swelling when taking the steroids to combat chemo side effects. I suggest massaging feet for some relief and maybe a support sock. Ask your doctor to see a lymphoedema therapist.
