I was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer in August 2021 I had surgery November 2021 started chemo the end of the year seven hour treatments every three weeks for six cycles next CT clear next CT following had small nodule outside. My esophagus started chemo and radiation together for six more weeks then had clear CT. several months later discovered I had pseudomonas Colonized in my lungs. I had had it for 10 months struggling for my life before they realized what was going on. Went to a Special treatment center for five weeks antibiotics 24 seven through IV felt fantastic leaving the hospital by a miracle. Masuda motors was completely gone within a month. I was struggling again with low oxygen fatigue and weakness. So much that I don’t leave the house. I have been struggling with infections since I have been in remission for two years. I was recently diagnosed with pseudomonas which was treated with antibiotics after six weeks of finding the one that worked I do have COPD and I am struggling with life. I just cannot get my body up and going again. I am clear of cancer clear of infection, but yet my body does not want to move. It has been five years since the beginning two years in remission numerous infections. My question is has anyone experienced total fatigue weakness which caused lack of ambition to do anything and how do you get through it?

The level of exhaustion you're describing after such an extensive treatment journey is unfortunately common among cancer survivors, especially those who've faced multiple complications and infections. Many community members have shared similar struggles with persistent fatigue that seems disconnected from their current medical status, and you're definitely not alone in feeling this way. Consider discussing these symptoms with your oncology team or asking about referrals to specialists who focus on post-cancer fatigue, as there may be targeted approaches that could help restore your energy and quality of life.

I completely agree with this suggestion - your fatigue is so understandable after everything you've been through, and I'd also encourage you to ask your team specifically about pulmonary rehabilitation programs since they can be really helpful for people with both cancer history and COPD.
