Recovery from tongue reconstruction surgery takes time, and two months is still early in the healing process - many patients find that speech and swallowing continue to improve for several months or even up to a year after surgery. Working with a speech-language pathologist who specializes in post-surgical rehabilitation can be incredibly helpful for developing exercises and techniques to regain function more effectively.
