9 days agoMy name is Vicky and I was diagnosed with stage 2A ovarian clear cell cancer. I had a complete hysterectomy in March 2025. I had 6 rounds of taxol and carboplat and then followed with 25 doses of pelvic radiation. Luckily pre treatment I had no Mets. I had the radiation as out of the box therapy because my cancer was due to asymptomatic endometriosis. My first PETCT in January 2026 was NED. Can anyone with my diagnosis reach out to me and tell me your story and how you are doing? I pray that we all have good luck fighting through our new normal. I’ll be going for more scans at the end of March. Thank you for reading

2 days agoHi Vicky. My name is DeeDee, and I am 59. I had stage 4 endometrial cancer with a large tumor and beginning mets to lungs. I also did 6 sessions of carbo and taxol but with Keytruda. Dr was wanting to continue with Keytruda alone, but I had a bad reaction to it. I have been in remission for two years. After a false positive PET, I started using the Natera blood test to check for tumor DNA which has been negative. I did not have radiation, since the tumor was completely gone I wasn't a candidate for it. Upon diagnosis I did a radical lifestyle change with diet, exercise, supplements, and alternative therapies from integrative oncology. I have not had a hysterectomy though my doctor thinks I should.

a day agoHi DeeDee. Thank you so much for reaching out to me. I wish you continued success with your therapies. I am 67 years old, and learning to process through this gynecological diagnosis. Was your cell type clear cell carcinoma of the endometrium? My gynecological oncologist has stated to me that I am not a candidate for any maintenance therapy since I am HER2 BRACA negative. Also targeted immune therapy in the future will be limited as I have no real bio markers or genetic markers to target Was your endometrial cancer due to endometriosis? I’m having difficulty finding a support group of women who have had my type of cancer. I wish you much luck DeeDee

a day agoVicky, My type was endometriod carcinoma and estrogen negative. I was told very aggressive. It had started to metastasize to my lungs. I was never diagnosed with endometriosis. My gyno-onco never gave me much hope and predicted I would need as many as five courses of chemo. I had only one course of six treatments with some immunotherapy. By God's grace that's all I needed. I contacted Heal Navigator and got advice from an integrative oncologist. I will pray for you.
