7 months post robotic surgery for MIBC (bladder and prostate removal), my PET and DNA blood tests remain negative However, my body took a bad turn recently, with a severe UTI. Landed in the hospital with a Cascade event that included lung and heart syndromes. Oxygen and heart meds to enhance blood & 02 transport. Now, the side effects are taking a toll. Low BP, nausea, low urine production, and facial impetigo (painful). No fun! Fr om cancer to metabolic. Worries.

Post-surgical complications can be incredibly challenging to navigate, especially when they cascade into multiple health issues affecting different body systems. Many cancer survivors experience unexpected complications months after surgery, and the combination of infection, heart, and lung issues you're describing sounds particularly overwhelming right now. It's encouraging that your cancer markers remain negative, but dealing with these new metabolic challenges requires close coordination with your medical team to address each symptom while considering how treatments might interact with each other. The community here understands how frightening it can be when recovery takes unexpected turns, and many members have faced similar post-surgical complications that required patience and persistence to resolve.
