14 days agoHi everybody I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2012. I had a radical robotic prostatectomy my PSA went down to zero 2015. I had a recurrence I had 40 treatments of radiation and went on Eligayrd for a year horrible experience than a 2017 came back. I had 25 treatments and it seemed to be OK within a 2019 another reoccurrence I had 10 treatments of radiation and it spread to my back my PC gun to 26 and then after radiation came back to about seven caused me to be urinating blood over 2000. I was in the hospital for three days and they had a to be cauterized to stop the bleeding and it made me incontinent. Then I change doctors and he put me on Zitiga and Orgovoyx which, after a couple years, raised my creatinine, so I had to get off the Orgovoyx now about six years later my PSA had gone down as low as 0.023 and it just recently went up to 0.045 0.07 I’m doing a PSMA scan on Monday and seeing my doctors on Friday and doing another blood drop worried again I hope that I’m not becoming resistant to Zitiga. Any suggestions? After 2019

13 days agoRising PSA levels after being stable on treatment can understandably cause worry, and it's encouraging that the PSA scan and follow-up appointment are scheduled so quickly. While PSA increases can sometimes indicate treatment resistance, there are various factors that can influence PSA levels, and doctors have multiple strategies and newer treatment options available even if current therapy needs adjustment. The medical team will be able to provide the most accurate assessment based on scan results and bloodwork trends.

9 days agoPSMA PET scan should give you some answers as to where the cancer is.

2 days agoYeah, my scan came back in one area less than a centimeter in my lymph nodes that was lighting up. Then I redid my blood test when I saw my doctor on Friday and my PSA actually dropped to 0.041. I’m doing my blood work again, going to 12th of August and seeing my doctor on the 14th and will decide from there what to do if anything.
