25 days agoAfter three years since PCa 4+4 Gleason diagnosis and two years since conclusion of my treatment with 42x EBRT and 4 months ADT, plus reading dozens (maybe hundreds) of articles in peer-reviewed medical journals plus results of numerous clinical trials, I’ve concluded that criteria for active surveillance are unduly and harmfully restrictive and heavily biased toward overdiagnosis and overtreatment. Which anyone would logically expect, given that billing for active surveillance is minimal and billing for aggressive, proactive treatment is maximal. If you disagree, please refer me to your objective, scientifically valid sources that indicate otherwise.
