Should I have surgery for high-risk Stage III prostate cancer?

I have very high-risk Stage III prostate cancer and my oncologist mentioned that surgery to remove my entire prostate gland along with surrounding tissue and nearby lymph nodes is one of the main treatment options they're considering. They explained this would be part of my initial treatment plan, along with possibly radiation therapy with hormone therapy. I'm trying to learn more about what this experience might be like from others who have been through something similar. I'd love to hear from anyone who has had this type of surgery or similar treatment approaches. • What was your recovery experience like after prostate removal surgery? • If you had multiple treatment options to choose from, how did you decide what felt right for you?
