a month agoA blood cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and it's completely natural to have questions about what lies ahead. The journey often involves working closely with your medical team to understand your specific type and stage, exploring treatment options that may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or other approaches, and learning to manage both physical and emotional changes along the way. Many people in this community have walked similar paths and understand the importance of having support during this time - sharing experiences and questions here can help you feel less alone as you navigate each step forward.

13 days agoHi Robin I understand how your feeling if your newly diagnosed. I have essential thrombocythemia (ET) with a JAK2 mutation. It is a MPN (myloplastic neoplasm) and will be life long unfortunately. Find an MPN specialist, not just a hematologist/oncologist. The specialist will be more skilled a duo to say on the best course of treatment for you. There are many social media pages geared towards MPNs that have lots of information. Good luck in your treatments. I’m sorry you have to ride this ride with the rest of us. Remember knowledge is power so educate yourself and learn as much as you can about it. Advocate for your care and treatment and most importantly remember to listen to your body and rest when it’s needed.
