a month agoMaintaining intimacy during cancer treatment is a common challenge that many couples face, and it's completely understandable to feel conflicted about wanting closeness while also feeling the urge to create distance. Consider having an open conversation about both of your needs and exploring different ways to connect emotionally and physically that feel comfortable right now - intimacy can take many forms beyond physical relations, including simple touch, quality time together, and honest communication about your feelings.

a month agoIt's hard to be intimate with your wife, I have cancer, I can't be intimate with him, but communication is the most important thing, just laying next each other

15 days agoJust talk,, have a date,, just hold each other, feel each other, it will be a way that you have never felt before,, The county health took me away from my partner of 14 years,, they drugged him up had him sign papers against me,,restraining order for 4 years,, have to fight in appellate court, no one wants to take on a county health department,, Snuck into hospital when he was having heart procedure (stints) done.. just that time laying and holding each other made us both determined to make it through( Rich with heart and myself through Anal cancer and heart surgery) still here today and fighting to get back together again. Don’t give up and find ways to connect to each other,, the smallest things can mean the most..

2 days agoThis might be too personal, but is the lack of intimacy a physical or psychological issue? My partner and I have found a way to be intimate with the help of penile injections. I had never heard of that until a patient shared it with me… we looked into it and it really works!! He just started chemo so we’ll see how it goes.
