I was diagnosed with stage 4 RCC with mets to the liver and lower right lobe nodules, this was in October of 2023. My first oncologist started me out on immunotherapy, which worked for several months of tumors shrinking. Then it just stopped working. Since then, I have been on 4 different treatments with no success. I had major side effects that I couldn't handle. My first oncologist moved on, after telling me that no one even thought I'd be alive still.So I got a new one, Dr. H Reddy. She has more hope for me and has started me on Pazopananib HCL, 200mg. I am tolerating it well. That feeling I got when my previous Dr., told me I was beyond my expected survival time really hurt, leaving me in a funk for a few weeks, until I got to see my new Dr. She had a whole different attitude, which helped me to get out of the funk. I am getting a new scan at the end of July, beginning of August.
