Hi I am a 64 year old woman. I had my right kidney removed October 2018. I had a yearly scan until May of 2023. Found tumors in my left kidney, both lungs and lymph nodes. A biopsy showed it was kidney cancer in my lungs and lymph nodes. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 RCC and Started on Keytruda in June of 2023 by August I had side effects rashes on my feet arms and hands. The rashes than turned into bleeding ulcers. Dermatologist tried Dupixent and than Otezla both failed and had their own side effects. Than a I was prednisone high doses 80 mg for 6 months and finally relief. In February of 2024 I was put on Cabometyx. Tolerating the side effects but now I have protein in my urine another side effect of Cabo and high blood pressure. How are you dealing with your cancer and treatments

Managing treatment side effects while battling stage 4 kidney cancer takes incredible strength, and it sounds like you've navigated some really challenging complications with your medications. Many others in this community have faced similar struggles with treatment side effects like skin reactions, blood pressure changes, and other complications - sharing experiences about what helps manage these issues could be really valuable for everyone here.

What are the next steps after finding the other kidney has cancer and lymph nodes? I have HLRCC and have a tumor on my left kidney. eventually I will need to have the kidney removed, but my doctors are pushing to shrink lymph nodes down first. What is your experience with lymph nodes? Thanks for sharing

I have one in my left jaw that is huge. They never bring it up or give me any explanation.
