It sounds incredibly frustrating to feel like you're waiting without clear answers or a treatment plan, especially when dealing with something as serious as a kidney tumor. Many people in this community have faced similar challenges with getting timely communication from their medical teams and navigating treatment decisions. Seeking a second opinion from specialists with advanced surgical experience is often a smart approach - having more expert perspectives can help you feel more confident about your options. The community here understands how overwhelming it can be to weigh different treatment possibilities, and there are many members who have walked similar paths who might be able to share their experiences with various approaches.

If you are thinking of going to Loma Linda then you are not far from City of Hope in Duarte. They have treated me for prostate cancer and now kidney cancer. Los Angeles county has four excellant camcer hospitals (City of Hope, Cedars Sinai, UCLA or Keck. Pick one of those four before you go to Loma Linda.

The ivermectin is a good starting point, I took it from compound pharmacy in Tampa Florida, after getting a prescription written from a small lab in Texas based on my weight and condition. Eight months later, already got my oncologist to order a CT scan and the small spot I still had in the left. Kidney is now dormant. It all started in the bladder, whining, low-grade carcinoma and then moved into the kidneys on both sides. This is all over 4 1/2 year timeline had the kidneys treated. With a fairly new treatment product called Gelmida but look up the proper spelling sorry never get that spelled correctly

City of Hope Hospital is amazing. My first Day there was shocking. I saw 8 Dr's two the next. They met and discussed my Cancer and formulated different approaches and included me in the conversation as if I was one of the Dr's. That was so important to me. There is no secrets there. You choose the path for you. On day two every aspect of treatment was discussed. From spiritual and religious perspectives and implemented and diet that was designed for my type of cancer. You are pampered as I observed. So many patients just asked me what type of Cancer I have and openly told their stories. Some were told they had two weeks to live and then they Came to City of Hope and were 10 years Cancer free. Story after story. I was overwhelmed. I knew I had Hope. My Cancer is renal cell carcinoma. We discussed weather to have a partial kidney removal or whole kidney removal or two other options. That was three years ago for me and I now go every six months for a CT scan to see that it has not reared it's head again. I have both kidneys and life is better, I have strength beyond what I had 15 years ago. You cannot go wrong with City of Hope. Three locations. Chicago, Atlanta, and Phoenix. Now California I believe or maybe soon. Prayers you find your Hope.

Hi Corene! I hope you take some advice and go to City of Hope. For me the worst part of this journey was the uncertainty and fear. Walking into the lobby of CITY OF HOPE 6 years ago made me feel like I was walking into my mother’s arms. Everybody treated me so well and in four days I knew what was wrong, had a treatment plan and was on my way. I’m still getting treatment, working, traveling and enjoying my life. You will never regret going to CITY OF HOPE.
