I had sarcoma in my leg which was removed by surgery. My surgeon is concerned about my lungs now. I'm scared 😳

Lung monitoring after leg sarcoma surgery is a standard part of follow-up care, as sarcomas can sometimes spread to the lungs. While it's completely understandable to feel scared about this possibility, regular lung checks help doctors catch any issues early when treatment options are most effective. The community here has many members who have navigated similar concerns and monitoring - sharing your worries and connecting with others who understand this journey can be really helpful.

I also had a sarcoma surgically removed in my leg but only after 27 external beam radiation treatments. I’m 15 months past the surgery now with clear scans. I’m told the same thing as you about the lungs being monitored as it would be the first affected if it returned and spread through the blood. I monitor and rub my leg area every day with organic lavender cream to feel for any new lumps. Wishing you the best and take care.
