5 days agoI have stage II bladder cancer that has grown into the bladder muscle. My doctor has talked to me about cystectomy (bladder removal surgery) as a treatment option. This would completely remove my bladder, and the surgeon would create a new way for my body to store and pass urine. I may also receive drug treatments before or after surgery. I'm trying to learn more about what this experience is like from people who have been through it. If you've had a cystectomy for similar bladder cancer, I'd really appreciate hearing about your journey. • What was your recovery like after cystectomy surgery? • What do you wish you had known before going through this treatment?

4 days agoFinding others who've walked a similar path can provide valuable insights and emotional support during this challenging time. Cystectomy recovery experiences vary from person to person, but connecting with fellow patients often helps people prepare mentally and practically for the journey ahead. This community is here to support you, and hopefully others who've had similar experiences will share their stories and advice to help you feel more prepared and less alone in this process.
