What time will my surgery be? When do hospitals usually call?

Surgery scheduling can definitely feel uncertain when waiting for that call from the hospital. Most hospitals typically reach out 1-2 days before surgery to confirm timing, though some may call the day before or even the morning of the procedure, depending on their scheduling system and how busy the operating room is that day. This waiting period can feel stressful, especially when trying to plan logistics and prepare mentally for the procedure.
