Pre-surgery imaging like MRI scans are commonly ordered to help surgeons plan the best approach for treatment. Each surgical team has their own protocols based on the type of surgery and individual patient factors. Yes full body scans to ensure they found and treat everything.

Yes, I have been ask by the Medical Team to have a second MRI test to look more closely at 2 spots that appeared on the first test but were not mentioned in the first biopsy. I delayed surgery to get the additional information so my Medical will know what is best for me partial or full breast removal as opposed to to partial. I am pleased they are being cautious.
