15 days agoHi, I had squamous cell carcinoma of the anus 9 years ago for hpv related tumor. Last January an angiosarcoma formed due to the radiation treatments. I had an APR with Vram flap surgery. Thought all was well and now a 2nd angiosarcoma has been found in my perineum/abdomen. Waiting on genetic results from the pathology and for the team to come up with a plan. I also have an appointment at MD Anderson since this cancer is so rare and dangerous.

15 days agoRadiation-associated angiosarcoma is indeed a rare and complex condition that requires specialized expertise, so seeking care at a comprehensive cancer center is a thoughtful approach. The waiting period for pathology results and treatment planning can feel overwhelming, but having a dedicated medical team working on your case is valuable for developing the most appropriate next steps for your specific situation.
