What imaging tools do surgeons use during lumpectomy surgery?

Hi! I had a Lumpectomy to remove DCIS. One of my margins was not clear, so I have to have another surgery to remove the rest. Some calcifications on an earlier test have also become suspicious. My surgeon is looking to remove the cancer that was left in the margin, remove the marker placed during my biopsy and remove the suspect calcifications. Aside from Ultrasound, does anyone know the other types of equipment that may be used during surgery to assist the surgeon to see better? Thanks!

Surgeons often use specialized imaging tools during lumpectomy procedures to help locate and remove tissue precisely, including specimen radiography to check removed tissue in real-time, mammography guidance systems, and sometimes MRI-guided techniques depending on the specific case. These imaging tools help ensure complete removal while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible, and the surgical team will discuss which approaches are most appropriate for the specific goals of the procedure.
