2 days agoHello all. About a year ago I had a radical prostectectomy with removal of the surrounding lymph nodes. At that time my Gleason score was 4/5. Afterwards my PSA was measured at 0.01. Watchful waiting was recommended at that time. A recent PSA came back with the same number. My question is, is there another diagnostic procedure that should be done even with the continuing low PSA number. Fred K.

2 days agoThis sounds like a great question to discuss with your oncology team, as they can review your complete medical history and current situation to determine the best monitoring approach. Having stable, low PSA levels after surgery is encouraging, and many patients find it helpful to understand what follow-up care looks like in their specific case. Consider writing down any questions or concerns before your next appointment so you can have a thorough discussion about your ongoing care plan and what diagnostic steps, if any, might be appropriate for your situation.
