Gm ladies do you feel that’s it’s necessary to have your breast done? I would like to get mines done to a smaller to help with my back pain and to have the rest of the mass removed but no one is listening and I think that’s what makes it more depressing for me. Any thoughts or opinions

Finding the right medical support for breast reduction can be challenging, especially when dealing with both physical discomfort and feeling unheard by healthcare providers. Many people in similar situations have found it helpful to seek second opinions or connect with specialists who understand how breast size can impact quality of life and overall well-being. Can you tell me more about your cancer and treatment plan?

For example I have bilateral breast cancer originally diagnosed unilateral and atypical on the opposite side and was given an option to have oncoplastic surgery. Lumpectomy with lift and reduction but when I opted for that and saw the plastic surgeon it was advised not to until pathology reports and radiation was complete in case re excision is needed and radiation can cause some shrinkage in breast. My oncologist explained to me that delayed reconstruction would be best to avoid asymmetrical issues. I have to say I was disappointed at first but glad that I waited because I indeed needed a second surgery. I was able to do the oncoplasty with the second surgery. I haven’t started radiation yet but if I have any shrinkage it will be even on both breasts.
