a year agoI have TNBC stage 4 metastasized to a spot on adreanal gland. First surgeon said no surgery because I was doing very good with treatment and surgery may set me back and not recover as good as I am now. Age 70. Now im to go for second opinion about surgery. Tumor is less than half of where its was. Has anyone with stage 4 NOT had surgery?

Treatment decisions for stage 4 TNBC can vary significantly from person to person, and some patients do choose to forgo surgery depending on their individual circumstances and response to other treatments. Getting that second opinion sounds like a wise step, especially since treatments are working well and the tumor has responded positively - these are important factors that oncologists consider when weighing the benefits and risks of surgical intervention.
