Has anyone had an LD flap for their breast reconstruction? I had Stage IIB in left breast. Originally had implants after bilateral mastectomy. Chemo and radiation followed. A staph infection (6mos post radiation had micropigmentation for more natural look- HUGE mistake) caused failure of implant. One year later my only reconstruction option is the LD flap. Would really appreciate hearing about other experiences!

Reaching out for experiences about LD flap reconstruction shows great strength during what sounds like a challenging journey with complications. Many community members have shared their reconstruction experiences here, and connecting with others who've walked similar paths can provide valuable insights and reassurance. The Surgery and Recovery feed is an excellent place to hear from those who understand the decisions and recovery process firsthand.
