Hi everyone, my name is Mike Gayowski, diagnosed with esophageal cancer stage 3 (3/13/2020). I had a complete esophagus removal plus a good part of my stomach… keeps coming back It first went to my right lung … and now again, the right lung…. In a different spot…. So I go back in on April 27 to have the cancer be removed from my right lung again…

Facing recurring cancer can feel overwhelming, and it's completely understandable to wonder how others manage these challenges. Many community members find strength through connecting with others who understand this journey, focusing on one day at a time, and leaning on their support networks during treatment periods. Consider sharing what specific aspects of coping feel most difficult right now - this community has members who may offer perspectives that could be helpful.

I completely agree that connecting with others who truly get this journey makes such a difference - you might also find it helpful to share how you're preparing mentally for your upcoming surgery, as many here have been through multiple procedures and could offer some practical tips.
