a month agoFor anyone that’s lost their taste buds in this process, how long did it take to get them back if at all?

a month agoTaste changes during cancer treatment are incredibly common, and recovery timelines can vary significantly from person to person. Many patients begin to notice gradual improvements within a few weeks to several months after treatment ends, though some may experience changes that last longer or become permanent. Recovery often depends on factors like the specific type of treatment received and individual healing patterns. This is definitely something worth discussing with your medical team, as they may have strategies to help support taste recovery or manage ongoing changes.

a month agoIf you’re having chemo, that could be affecting your taste buds. It did mine. Things had a metallic taste. My taste returned to normal after a while. Good luck!

a month agoI had chemo and during that time everything tasted like cardboard. It was a chore to eat. But after a couple weeks off chemo my taste would start to come back. Once I was off chemo for good my taste was pretty much back to normal within about a month. Good luck.

16 days agoThank you I love the honesty too. Actually my taste has started to slowly come back since I posted this and I’m still on chemo. I think it was the radiation on my neck that did it
